A few notes about travel and lodging

Lodging:

The suburb of Winnetka doesn't have any Hotels and isn't known to have Airbnb's. The best option for lodging would be to stay nearby in Evanston or downtown Chicago if you'd like to enjoy the city! Don't hesitate to contact us for help choosing where to stay.

Ground transportation:

Renting a car for the weekend is an option, but not a necessity. Ride-hailing services like Uber and Lyft are widely available in Chicago and getting picked up in Winnetka (suburbs) is extremely easy, as well (2-15 mins pick-up time). It's roughly a 30-45 minute drive from Chicago to Winnetka on a Saturday.

Additionally, the Metra Train from Chicago is a great and affordable option that will get you very close to the Guthrie's residence (~10-15 min walk after getting off the train). The Metra operates on a schedule, so be sure to check the Metra's Union Pacific North line for details. Also, for those planning to take the Metra, let us know, and we can help coordinate a pick-up for you!

Parking:

For those driving to the party, street parking is available on Spruce street.

The Skyline Lodge can accommodate guests who'd like to add more nights to their stay or stay two-nights instead of three. The only thing The Skyline Lodge can't offer is a one-night stay or splitting weekend dates.
